Transportation Details

There is no on-site parking at Thunderbird Lodge for this event. Unless you request to arrive by limo, you must use the shuttle transportation which departs from Wells Fargo Private Bank in Incline Village, NV. Wells Fargo Private Bank is located at 938 Tahoe Boulevard in the Raley’s shopping center. Shuttles will depart from the parking lot promptly at 4:30 p.m.

By prior arrangement, limited on-site parking at Thunderbird Lodge may be available first to the mobility impaired. Otherwise, on-site parking is available only to Thunderbird Flagship and Castle Club members. Members at Admiral levels or above may arrive by boat and tie up at Thunderbird Cove with prior approval.

The shuttle transportation details will be included in your ticket order confirmation email. To request special transportation arrangements simply reply to that email or call 775-832-8750.

For an additional donation, an optional VIP Reserve Winetasting with the Winemaker aboard Thunderbird Yacht will precede each event, subject to weather and lake conditions. See details below.

Join the Winemaker aboard the Thunderbird Yacht and enjoy a full hour of VIP tasting before the dinner event. As part of this upgrade, you receive:

  • Gate pass to “drive on” to the estate at 4 p.m. without taking shuttle bus
  • East shore cruise aboard Thunderbird Yacht

Event Details

As our principal fundraising event to preserve Lake Tahoe’s Castle-in-the-Sky and the world famous Thunderbird yacht, Thunderbird Lake Tahoe hosts Dinner Events June through October. Tour this National Historic Site with a glass of wine in hand and share in its legacy while strolling magnificent lawns, gardens, and stone terrace vistas. Certain evenings include a lively auction of exclusive items and events, and an opportunity to purchase selected wines.

To reduce the high cost of credit card fees, Thunderbird prefers payment by check. However, all major credit cards are accepted and you may book online using our secure shopping cart.

Dinners typically conclude by 9 p.m. Dress is business casual with a coat or wrap recommended as Tahoe evenings can turn chilly. Wear comfortable walking shoes. High heels are not recommended when strolling the uneven stone pathways of Thunderbird Lodge.
