Thunderbird Lodge is open year-round for private and group tours.
Car clubs, service organizations, church groups, senior’s centers, large families, wedding parties, non-profit organizations, and government agencies have all enjoyed educational and entertaining visits to Lake Tahoe’s Castle-in-the-Sky.
By advance arrangement, private and group tours may arrive on foot or by personal automobile, bicycle, shuttle bus, helicopter, boat, seaplane, or nearly any kind of transport imaginable.
Call (775) 832-8750 to reserve your private or group tour. All tours subject to availability. For private and group tours, children 12 and under are free when accompanied by adult parent or guardian.
For a unique field trip, look no further than the Thunderbird Lodge! Located off Hwy 28, the Donald W. Reynolds Lake Tahoe and Culture Program at Thunderbird Lodge offers a Hands on History Tour. Currently for grades 4th and 5th, with eventual expansion to middle school, the Hands on History Tours for children are interactive, educational and an excellent source of local history.
