Please help us preserve and protect the historic site by respecting the on-site protocol:

Tours accommodate 45 students at a time accompanied by a maximum of 5 adult teachers and/or chaperones. Students must be in the same school and age range.

We rely on your prompt arrival so please make sure your transportation arrives on time. If running late, call (775) 832-8751 or (775) 832-8753.

Upon arrival, divide your students into groups of 12-15 students. A tour guide will meet you at the parking lot. All visitors must remain with a guide throughout the visit. For safety reasons, pre-schoolers are not allowed.

Be safe. Prepare students in advance for extensive walking over old stone walkways, up and down stairs, and through underground tunnels. Please advise us in advance if your group includes persons having special needs.

Restroom facilities and water are limited, so please help conserve our resources.

Reservations are required for all tours. Self-guided tours are not available.

Smoking is not permitted in the buildings, on the grounds, or aboard shuttle busses and watercraft. Children must be at least six years old.

Comfortable walking shoes are required and a warm jacket is recommended.
