A permanent $20-million Preservation Fund (endowment) is needed to save Thunderbird Lodge and Yacht for future generations. Launched in 2009 with a $5-million grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation, the Preservation Fund depends on your legacy gifts of cash, IRA distributions, stocks and securities, family foundation grants, donor-advised funds, planned gifts, and bequests.

The Thunderbird Lake Tahoe Castle Club recognizes individuals, families, and foundations making legacy gifts of $100,000 or more to the Preservation Fund.

Matching gift opportunities are presently available. When contributing $100,000 or more to the Preservation Fund, an anonymous Castle Club donor will match your gift dollar-for-dollar.

You may structure Preservation Fund contributions over multiple years or as a matching gift campaign.

Castle Club contributors receive a generous package of access privileges to Thunderbird Lake Tahoe.
